鈥淚 really enjoyed working with my dad, who taught me many skills,鈥 says Manveer. 鈥淗owever, I didn鈥檛 have any valid certification that would allow me to turn my skills into a career.鈥 Unfortunately, just before moving to Victoria with his wife, his father passed away suddenly. 鈥淭his caused a large financial burden as I became the breadwinner for the rest of my family,鈥 says Manveer. 鈥淧aying for trade school became a barrier, as most of my earnings were tied up in keeping the business and taking care of family needs.鈥
